Finkenstein is located amidst the picturesque nature of the Alpe-Adria region and is surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape and Lake Faak.
The region is characterized by its good connections to the transport network, with the city of Villach only around 15 minutes away by car and can be reached quickly via the nearby A2 freeway.

Finkenstein is a small village with a quiet, rural atmosphere, but still offers numerous leisure activities and sights in the surrounding area.
The ruins of Finkenstein Castle, nestled in the gently rolling landscape on a rocky hill, are not only a beautiful excursion destination, but also provide a wonderful stage for the Austria-wide summer festival and other entertaining events.
